This policy explains how UK Laser Group Sales & Servicing ("we", "us") collects and uses personal information through this website, and the rights you have. We are the data controller for that information.

Who we are

Information you give us

• Contact form: your name, email address, phone number (optional), the product you are interested in (optional) and your message. We use it to answer your enquiry. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in replying to you and, where you are asking about buying from us, taking steps at your request before a contract.
• Newsletter sign-up: your email address, which we use to send you news about our products and updates. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by emailing us.
• Orders: when you buy from our shop we receive your name, email address, phone number if you give it, delivery address, the items and options you ordered, the prices, the delivery method, the payment reference and the order status, including any tracking number. We use this to fulfil and deliver your order, to email you when it is dispatched and to keep the accounting records the law requires. Our lawful bases are performing our contract with you and our legal obligations.

Payments

When online payment is available, payments are taken by Stripe on its own secure checkout page. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never seen or stored by us. Stripe processes your payment information under its own privacy policy, available at stripe.com. Until then, orders are arranged directly with our team.

How messages and orders reach us

Form submissions and order dispatch emails are sent by email through Resend, an email delivery service. Order details are kept in our private order system, hosted by Cloudflare, which only our staff can sign in to.

Spam protection

Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a submission comes from a person rather than an automated program. Turnstile processes technical information such as your IP address and browser details for that check. The forms also contain a hidden field that only automated programs fill in.

Page-view counting

A cookie-free page-view counter run by RankShark records only the page address, the referring page or site and any campaign tag in the link. It sets no cookies. The IP address is used only momentarily to block abuse and is never stored.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, a service from Google, to understand how visitors use our website so we can improve it: for example which pages are viewed, how visitors arrive and roughly where in the world they are, by country or city. It sets cookies in your browser and Google processes technical information such as your IP address and device details under its own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy). Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running and improving our website. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising. You can block it with your browser settings or with Google's opt-out browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).

Information kept on your own device

Your shopping cart and your choice of light or dark display are saved in your own browser (local storage) so they are still there when you come back. They are not sent to us, except that the cart contents are sent to our checkout when you choose to pay.

Instagram posts and reviews

Our home page shows our Instagram posts through a widget from Fouita, loaded from Fouita’s servers as you scroll to it. When it loads, Fouita and Instagram receive technical information such as your IP address and browser details, under their own privacy policies. The customer reviews on our home page are copies of reviews from our Google Business Profile, shown as part of our own page: nothing is sent to Google when you read them.

Hosting

This website is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical information such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site. Our fonts are served from our own website, so no request is made to Google Fonts.

Links to other services

Our pages link to WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger, our Google Business Profile, our finance lenders and the Klinic Academy online courses, and product pages have share links for Facebook, WhatsApp and Pinterest. These are plain links: nothing is sent to those services unless you click one. When you use those services, their own privacy policies apply.

Who we share information with

We share personal information only with the service providers named above (Stripe, Cloudflare, Resend, RankShark, Fouita and Google) so that they can provide their services to us, and where the law requires it. We never sell your information. Some of these providers may process information outside the UK; where they do, they rely on safeguards recognised under UK data protection law.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries: for as long as we need to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up.
• Newsletter: until you ask us to stop.
• Orders: for six years after the end of the financial year in which the order was placed, to meet our tax and accounting obligations.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to have it transferred to you or another organisation, and to withdraw consent at any time. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113).
