We do not only supply equipment: we also teach. Our Pathway to Laser, Intense Pulsed Light and LED Treatments course, which includes the Core of Knowledge, is our beginner course. It covers the basics of optical radiation devices and how they interact with tissue, laser and IPL classifications, ablative and non-ablative lasers and the intended purposes of different equipment, with a face to face practical clinical assessment training included.
The Hollywood Carbon Laser Treatment course teaches the carbon facial, described as one of the most popular non invasive laser treatments for skin rejuvenation. The theory is completed at home online, followed by a practical day with a morning demonstration and practice on models. The Skin Tag & Blemish Removal Course includes our STR unit and an online pre-study course, with Masced training for early detection of melanoma and skin cancer.
When you buy a laser machine from us, the necessary machine training is included with your purchase, to ensure safe use of the equipment in accordance with manufacturing and UK regulations, and the full Core of Knowledge study is included with all laser machine purchases. The Core of Knowledge is a remote pre-study module and the minimum requirement to obtain insurance for IPL and tattoo removal treatments.

Laser training questions
We offer three courses: Pathway to Laser, Intense Pulsed Light and LED Treatments (including Core of Knowledge), the Hollywood Carbon Laser Treatment course, and the Skin Tag & Blemish Removal Course. Online courses are also available through Klinic Academy, linked from our Training page.
The Core of Knowledge is a remote pre-study module. It is the minimum requirement to enable you to obtain insurance for IPL and tattoo removal treatments. It covers the nature of light and laser beams and the features of laser and light devices used in medical and aesthetic practice. We include it with the purchase of any laser it relates to.
It covers how optical radiation devices interact with tissue, how different types of optical radiation are produced, the types of active media used in lasers, emission modes and delivery systems, laser and IPL classifications, ablative and non-ablative lasers, and ionising and non-ionising radiation. A face to face practical clinical assessment training is included with the course.
The theory portion can be completed from home through online resources, with a multiple choice test completed online. Your practical training session is included at your preferred training location, and each practical day has a demonstration in the morning followed by practice on models. Product is included, and there are no time limits on your online access for training and support.
The course is designed to enable you to offer the removal of unwanted skin tags and blemishes, and includes our STR unit and an online pre-study course. Topics include anatomy and physiology relative to skin conditions, health and safety, consultation procedure, skin types, and aftercare advice. We also offer Masced training for early detection of melanoma and skin cancer.

Our courses are led by Kevin Lucas-Langley, director and co-founder. He has been an established aesthetics and laser practitioner for over 10 years, after 20 years in the hair and beauty industry. He is a fully certified assessor holding a teaching qualification, and students from the UK and internationally have chosen him as their preferred educator.
